Governance

The MHNBF is governed by a committee who are also the Trustees for the purposes of charity law.

The names of the committee can be found on the About Us page. The committee meets at least quarterly to discuss and promote the objects of the charity. The objects of the charity are:

  • To provide assistance by means of monetary grants, particularly but not exclusively to the former nursing staff of the Middlesex Hospital who may be in need through sickness or other adverse circumstance.
  • To provide monetary assistance towards expenses for beneficiaries in nurse and midwifery training, professional development and charitable activity in health-related fields.
  • To promote such charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined by the Trustees.

The other activities carried out by The Trustees include promoting fellowship amongst Middlesex Hospital nurses and circulating an annual Journal.

An Annual General Meeting is called every year and all members are welcome to attend.
